John James Needles - Machine Sewing Needles - Regular Point. 

Regular Point Machine sewing needles are designed for domestic regular sewing machines. 

For use on woven fabrics lightweight to heavier weight. For Jersey fabric or leather you should use the needles designed specifically for them.

This will ensure a much better finish to your project also reducing risk of damage to material or broken needle. 

It is important to use the correct size machine sewing needle depending upon which fabric you choose. 

Lower number size are for finer weight fabrics and higher numbers for medium and heavier weight fabrics .  As a guide to help you.....

Size 9/70 Suitable for light fabrics, silk and taffeta 
Size 11/80 Suitable for medium fabrics, cotton, linen and satin 
Size 14/90 Suitable for medium to heavy fabrics, this is an ideal in between needle 
Size 16/100 Suitable for heavy fabrics, denim, tweeds, curtain fabrics and soft furnishings
